When and How Do I Apply?

Applications are available and accepted from February 14th - April 17th.

To be eligible for this scholarship, you must be a high school senior from an Aroostook County school and plan to attend Northern Maine Community College, the University of Maine at Presque Isle, the University of Maine at Fort Kent or Thomas College.

Gauvin Scholarship Application

In addition to completing the online application, please include your:

  • Official high school transcripts
  • Copy of completed FAFSA form
  • SAT scores
  • College acceptance letter
  • Financial award package
  • 2 recommendations from guidance counselors/teachers with answers to these questions:

  1. How does this student show the traits of responsibility (good work ethic and community service) and compassion (kindness towards others)?
  2. Give an example of how this student demonstrates good decision-making skills.
  3. How does this student respond to setbacks and/or challenges? Please provide an example.
  4. Is there anything else our committee should know about this student?
